摘　　要：构建社会主义和谐社会,是新一代中央领导集体根据马克思主义的基本原理,为开创中国特色社会主义事业新局面而提出的战略部署。构建社会主义和谐社会需要坚持平等待人的原则,平等待人原则不仅是构建和谐社会的终极价值目标,也是和谐社会得以构建的直接实现手段,同时还是构建和谐社会间接的助推器。Building a harmonious society is the strategic disposition, based on the Marxist fundamental thoughts for creating a new situation in building socialism with Chinese characteristics proposed by the new generation of Party＇s leading group. The principle of treating people equally needs to be persisted in for it is the ultimate value goal and direct accomplishing means as well as the indirect ＂booster＂ for achieving the harmonious society.
