摘　　要：本文的目的有三:1)更准确地理解索绪尔对当代语言学的贡献;2)明确语言学的合理视域和研究范围:语言的语言学和言语/话语的语言学;3)区分两种语言能力:形而上或语言学的语言能力与形而下的、话语语言学的语言能力,以有利于语言教学在理论研究和实践领域新局面的开拓。This paper attempts to： 1 ） more accurately understand Saussure＇ s contribution to modern linguistics ; 2 ） provide a tentative consideration about the demarcation between two kinds of linguistics： the linguistics of metaphysical language （langue） vs. linguistics of substantial language（language in use） ; 3 ） distinguish two kinds of linguistic competence： metaphysical linguistic competence vs. substantial linguistic competence or competence in terms of language use.
