摘　　要：知识型创业企业是创业企业中最活跃的群体。知识型创业企业除了致力于自身的生存和发展,还承担着重要的社会角色。本文从社会机会(识别、开发和利用)和知识管理(创造、利用和扩散)两个方面进行了分析和论证。知识型创业企业的社会角色强调了其社会性特征,为和谐社会理论和实践提供了重要的证据。Knowledge intensive ventures （KIVs） are most active parts in entrepreneurial firms. Through completely analyzing knowledge intensive enterprise and entrepreneurial firm, this thesis accurately define knowledge intensive ventures. Knowledge intensive ventures not only devote to their survival, but also play an important social role. This thesis argues that social roles include three aspects： social opportunity role （identification, development and exploitation）, innovation system role （construction, implementation and evaluation）, and knowledge management role （creation, using and diffusion）. Social roles of knowledge intensive ventures emphasizes societal characteristics, providing important evidences for harmonious society theory and practice.
