摘　　要：了解农民工的知识素养与知识需求,有助于图书馆向其提供有效知识援助。2006年夏,课题组对北京市188名农民工进行了问卷调查。调查结果显示,从事简单劳动、体力劳动的农民工,信息知识能力在整体上比较低下,获取信息知识的渠道比较传统。他们中的大多数因业余时间少、经济收入低等原因阅读匮乏,但他们求知欲望也很强,渴望走入图书馆。而对图书馆的不了解、图书馆收费等因素,是阻碍农民工利用图书馆的主要原因。If the libraries know peasant workers＇knowledge abilities and needs, it will help them to afford effective knowledge aid for these peasant workers. In the summer of 2006, our survey group surveyed 188 peasant workers in Beijing by means of questionnaire. The investigation results reflect that, on the whole, the peasant workers, who engage in simple labor and physical work, own poor knowledge skills and information abilities, and their channels of acquiring knowledge and information are still conventional. Most of them lack reading because of the less spare time and the lower income. However, they yearn for knowledge, and hope to go into various libraries. Nevertheless, unfamiliar with the libraries and the charge of libraries are main factors which hamper them to use libraries.
