摘  要:2008年5月12日在四川省汶川县境内发生的里氏8.0级大地震是我国历史上大陆发生的破坏性最严重的地震灾害干扰事件.这次地震造成的人员、设施、经济损失比较清楚因而得到高度关注,但导致的生态破坏与生态退化及其恢复重建尚未引起足够重视.本文基于生态破坏与退化的驱动力及过程的分析,初步评估了地震灾区[约60个县(市、区),面积约15×104km2]的生态破坏形势,揭示了灾后生态退化问题及其基本特点,以期为重灾区的生态环境状况与恢复重建提供认识基础,为灾后生态恢复与重建决策、科学研究与生态恢复实践提供参考资料.The Wenchuan Earthquake happened on May 12, 2008 in Sichuan and was one of the most terrible disasters in recent history of China. It not only caused great casualties and huge economic loss, but also seriously destroyed mountain ecosystem and led ecological degradation in large areas. It is a precondition to understand the ecological degradation status for successful restoration and rehabilitation in the seriously affected region. This paper provides the analyses of the driving force and degradation process, gives a preliminary evaluation on the ecological damages and degradation in the seriously affcted regions (including 60 counties or cities, with a total area of 15 × 10^4 km^2), and presents the key problems and major degradation features there. It is expected that this present work will promote scientific research and provide scientific information for ecological reconstruction and restoration in the region. Fig 2, Ref 13
