摘　　要：处于不同地域和历史时代背景之下的马基雅维里和荀子都把对人性的认识当作其政治理论探索的起点,并最终以人性恶论为基础分别建立了各自的整套政治思想体系。探析这其中的类似与区别,有利于更好地理解把握马基雅维里和荀子的政治思想、透视东西方文化蕴含的精神特质。Though Machiavelii and Xunzi belong to different area and historical background, they all took their understanding of human nature as the starting point of their political theory exploration, and in the end they established their own political theory system on the basis of human nature wicked theory. To explore their similarities and differences is benefit to better understand the political ideas of Machiavelli and Xunzi, and see clearly the spirit character between the west and the east.
