《汉语大字典》缺音缺义问题

摘　　要：《汉语大字典》根据存字、存音、存源的原则,对音义不明的字,常常照引旧字书,以保留汉字的历史面貌。这个原则是好的,态度也审慎。不过,有的缺音、缺义字如果细致考察,是可以补出来的。探索缺音、缺义产生的原因,并设法弥补,对于汉字史研究和解决辞书中的疑难问题具有重要的参考价值。In accordance with a good and cautious principle of preserving the forms, pronunciations and sources of Chinese characters, the editors of Han Yu Da ZiDian （ Chinese Dictionary） had done great efforts to record those characters whose pronunciations or meanings were not definite by making reference to verbatim transcriptions of those kept in the ancient lexicons so as to keep the Chinese characters as they were. After meticulous investigation, the author of this article proposes that some entries lacking of either pronunciations or meanings of the characters should be supplemented. The author also thinks that it is of importance for the study of the history of Chinese characters and of the relationship between Chinese characters and Chinese words to explore the reasons why the problems of lacking of either pronunciations or meanings were brought about and to make every effort to supple those lacking parts, which will be helpful to solve the knotty problems in the compiling of dictionaries.
