摘　　要：本文从我国英语专业人才培养目标的历史演变入手，论证了培养创新型英语人才是新时期该专业的人才培养目标，进而揭示了创新型英语人才的内涵及素质结构，并据此重新确立综合英语课程的定位与功能，提出了该课程教学改革的思路与措施。On the basis of the evolution of Chinese English-major cultivating objectives, this paper proves that cultivating creative English talents is the talent-cultivating objective in the new era. Moreover, the paper points out the definitions and quality structures of creative English talents. On the basis of that, it reconstructs the orientation and functions of comprehensive English courses, from which some reforming ideas and measures are put forward.
