摘　　要：体育作为人类特有的社会实践活动,是人类针对自身所创造出来的一种身体运动文化。以人为本,关注人的健康,弘扬人的本性是体育的本质。毛泽东体育思想始终以人为核心,贯穿着对人类生存环境的思考和关怀,注重的是人的生命意义和价值,维护的是人的尊严。他追求的是"唯人"精神,关爱人的生命与健康,促进人本身全面、和谐的发展。可以说,毛泽东体育思想处处闪耀着人文光芒。Physical education as a unique human social activity is a culture of body movement. The nature of physical education lies in people orientation, i.e. people’s health and humanity are the utmost concern. Mao’s physical education thought sticks to the human centre, showing great concern for the living environment of people and emphasizing human life value and dignity for an all-rounded and harmonious development. It is reasonable to say that Mao’s physical education thought perfectly reveals the humanistic spirit.
