摘　　要：肥胖是一种患病率越来越高的系统性疾病,它也是2型糖尿病、冠心病等慢性疾病的危险因素。近来许多研究表明,肥胖与牙周病尤其是牙周炎也具有相关性。本文就肥胖与牙周炎的相关性和它们之间联系的可能机制作一综述。Obesity is a systemic disease which is a risk factor for several chronic diseases, most notably type 2 diabetes and coronary, heart disease. The prevalence of obesity has increased substantially over the past decades. Some studies suggest that obesity is also associated with periodontal disease, particularly periodontitis. Here studies that have examined the association between obesity and periodonfitis are reviewed, and the potential biological mechanisms for the association of obesity with periodontitis are discussed.
