近代百色城发展探源

摘　　要：清代以前的百色只是名为博涩、田峒的两个壮族村落。到了20世纪30-40年代,百色城发展成为桂西的经济、政治、文化中心。究其原因有五:便利的交通提供了良好的发展基础;广东商人促进了它的近代化;鸦片贸易刺激了商业的繁业;大量移民迁入;地方政府采取了有利政策。Before the Qing dynasty, Baise was merely a combination of two Zhuang villages - Bose and Tiandong. During 1920s and 1930s Baise had become the biggest commercial port of west Guangxi and a centre of economy, politics and culture. There are five causes for this development： convenient transporta- tion providing favorable basis for development, Cantonese merchants＇ activities promoting its modernization ; the trade of opium stimulating commercial prosperity, the immigration of large number of immigrants and the favorable policy adopted by the local government.
