摘　　要：陈大悲是中国现代戏剧界集演员、导演、剧作家、戏剧理论家、戏剧教育家于一身的人物。他对中国现代戏剧最大的贡献是其对戏剧艺术和戏剧理论的研究态度,他一方面创办人艺戏剧专门学校,做一些普及戏剧常识的工作;一方面彻底批判旧戏、文明戏,为倡导爱美的戏剧理论扫清道路。陈大悲的《爱美的戏剧》是第一部关于研究戏剧艺术的书,填补了中国现代戏剧研究专著的空白。在该专著里,陈大悲第一次提出了关于剧本、导演、表演、舞台美术设计的系列理论,为中国现代戏剧的成熟和发展奠定了基础。As actor, director, play- wright and pedagogue of drama at the same time in the circle of modem China＇ s theatre, Chen Dabei＇ s greatest contribution to modem China＇ s theatre lies in his attitude towards the researches on the theory of theatre arts and drama. On the one hand, he has founded the People＇s Arts Drama School, popularizing the general knowledge of the drama; he has thoroughly criticized the old theater, opera of civilization, thus blazing the way so as to promote Amy＇ s drama. His ＂Beauty - love drama＂ is the first book on the study of theater art, an monograph filling the gaps in the study of modern Chinese drama. In the monograph, he has for the first time out forward a series of theories on scripts, directors, performers, stage design, laying down the foundation for the maturity of modern China＇ s drama to develop further.
