The effect of Acanthopanax Santicosus polysaccharides (ASPS) and Glutathione S-transferase(GST)for hepatic cellular morphology, the number of γ-Glutamyl transpeptiase (γ-GT) positive cells and γ-GT tissue content were studed in 148 rat livers based on 3'-me-DAB hepatocarcinogenesis. Results show: 1, In APSP group, hepatomorphology are similar to 3'-me-DAB group and the number of γ-GT positive cells and γ-GT content of hepatic tissue slowly increase, with a lower proliferatic level than in 3'-me-DAB group; In Apsp group, 9 day after experimenl show pathologic Variety, but in 3'-me-DAB group 4 day; These data demonstrate ASPS have distinct retardant effect to neoplastic proliferation 2, pathomorphology in GST group are also similar with 3'-me-DAB group, and the number of γ-GT positive cells and γ-GT content indictate higher proliferatic level than 3'-me-DAB group. It suggestes the effect of hepatic detoxication in GST is suspected by appling subcutaneous immunomethod. Influnce on experimental hepatocarcinoma in ASPS make further study, incrensing ASPS dose be suggested.
