摘　　要：文章记述了英年早逝的西北大学数学系教授李继闵（１９３８－１９９３年）的成长与奋斗历程。并从研究方法、中算特色、《九章算术》及不定分析等四个方面论述了他对中国数学史研究的贡献。Li Jimin(1938-1993) , professor of mathematics of the Northwest Uni- versity in Xi'an , was an outstanding historian of Chinese mathematics. The first half of this paper is a brief biographical note on him. Four aspects of his academic contributions to the history of Chinese mathematics are discussed in the second half : ( 1 ) his research method ; ( 2 ) characteristics of Chinese mathematics ; ( 3 ) studies on Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art; and (4) indeterminate analysis in ancient and medieval China.
