摘　　要：歧义是人们在语言交流中常遇到的一种语言现象,语言性歧义的产生是不可避免的,研究歧义对语言的理解、写作、翻译等都有着重要意义。因此,文章就英语中的歧义现象试作探讨,从语音、词汇、语法三方面举例说明英语歧义产生的主要原因,并简要介绍几种消除歧义的方法。Ambiguity is a language phenomenon which people usually encounter with in daily communication. The ambiguity of language is inevitably and the research on it plays a great important role in the comprehension, writing and translation of language. This paper analyses the main reasons of the occurrence of ambiguity in English in terms of pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar as well as the methods of disambiguation.
