摘　　要：The First World War and the Second World War brought Hemingway tremendous scars both physically and mentally,which became his nightmares in his later life.To better understand Hemingway's war scars and the reasons,this article mainly analyses Henry's(Henry,the hero of A Farewell to Arms) and Hemingway's experiences and sufferings in the war respectively,and then makes a detailed comparative study.Another purpose of studying this topic is to help people realize that there should be no wars for mankind and that the whole world needs peace!The First World War and the Second World War brought Hemingway tremendous scars both physically and mentally, which became his nightmares in his later life.
