摘　　要：瓜是雅俗、也是南北共赏的题材。所谓“瓜”，自古以来是指甘瓜、果瓜，亦即甜瓜，虽然在辽代壁画里已经出现了放在果盘上面的西瓜，但它是描绘生活场景，作为装饰题材，甘瓜几乎是一枝独秀的。The paper categories and analyzes the golden and silver jewellety of Yuan and Ming dynasties with the melon and mouse design.The paper also researches the textual records related to mouse and melon design and has a clear idea on the metaphor of melon and mouse design.
