摘　　要：《南通方言疏证》为孙锦标著述四种之一,计四卷五十类,大致以"人事"、"自然"、"生物"为序;释义主要针对《光绪通州志·方言》辨正、溯源、订补;注音包括直音、读若、反切三类;引证广泛,例证丰富;在中国语言学史上有史料价值,在南通方言史研究方面有语料价值,在语词归类、本字考订、音理分析方面有一定的瑕疵。A Textual Explanation of Nantong Dialect is one of SUN Jin-biao＇s four great works, and it is composed of four volumes （fifty classes） with categories like ＂human affairs＂, ＂nature＂ and ＂creatures＂. In this book, SUN conducted explanations, correction, tracing the sources and supplements for Guangxu Tongzhou Chronicles——Dialects. Phonetic transcriptions include straight tones, similar tones and dual tones. SUN＇s book is abundant in citations and examples, and it is of historic significance in Chinese linguistic history and of corpus value in the research of Nantong Dialect. However, this book is of some drawbacks in classification of words, correction of words and analysis of phones.
