摘　　要：从"神"字字源入手,解释了《灵枢·九针十二原》中针刺"守神"的确切含义,认为该处"神"是古人对脉的微妙变化的认识,"守神"的实质是通过脉诊体察血气变化的过程。Precise meaning of ＂keeping vitality＂ of acupuncture in Lingshujing ~ Nine Needling and Twelve ori gins is explained from the word source of ＂vitality＂, holding that ＂vitality＂ here is recognition of the ancients for delicate changes of pulse, and essence of ＂keeping vitality＂ is the course of understanding changes of qi and blood by pulse-taking.
