浅析《阿金的眼泪》中眼泪的文化涵义

摘　　要：《阿金的眼泪》利用一位已届中年的中国孝子阿金在老母颤巍巍的棒打中突然流泪的情节,再度关注了挣扎在中西两种文化、两种生活方式下的中国青年移民的生活状况。眼泪在文中有着特殊的文化涵义,阿金是由于突然意识到潜藏在自己内心最深处的传统文化正渐渐失去而哭泣的,即将与息息相通的文化母体相分离的痛苦与害怕让阿金突然失控并当众流泪。In ＂The Tears of Ah Kim＂, with the plot of a middle-aged Chinese filial son suddenly crying while being beaten by his old and fragile mother, Jack London pays his close attention again to the living situation of young Chinese immigrants who are struggling in two cultures and two life styles. Ah Kim＇s tears have special cultural implications in the text： Ah Kim cries just because of his sudden realization that the traditional culture rooted at the bottom of his heart has been losing the influence on him gradually. The fear and agony of being parted with his dear cultural parent at the near future makes him burst into tears in public.
