摘　　要：20世纪60年代美国的社会背景造就了美国后现代主义小说。与其他时期的小说相比,后现代主义小说有许多独到之处。本文从小说的本质、描写方法、语言运用、体裁、题材、叙事手法几个方面探讨了后现代主义小说的特点。American post - modem novels were created in the late 1960s in the United States. Compared with those in other periods, post - modem novels have their own uniqueness. This paper probes into the characteristics of the post - modem novels from the aspects of their essence, the way of description, the use of language, genre, subject matter, and narrative technique.
