摘 要:儿童为何能在短期内学好第一语言(母语)?语言习得的过程是什么?第一语言和第二语言习得的相互关系是什么?习得第二语言的最佳时期在何时?本文介绍了儿童习得第一语言的规律,阐述了儿童习得第一语言和第二语言的方法、相互关系,习得语言的最佳时期以及儿童早期习得第二语言的优势,并且针对中国少儿英语教学中所出现的问题,提出了一些建设性意见。Why can a child learn his or her first language (mother language) so well in a short time without extra effort? What is the course of language learning? What is the relationship between first language acquisition and second language acquisition? When is the best period for second language learning? This paper introduces the principle of children's learning first language, illustrates the methods and mutual relation between first language acquisition and second language acquisition, the best period for language learning and the advantage for children to learn the second language in early period. The author also raises some constructive suggestions on the teaching of young English leamers in China.
