摘　　要：文章阐述了图书馆人社会地位不高的现状,对其产生原因进行了分析。并指出为了提高图书馆人的社会地位,必须围绕为读者提供服务这个中心工作,进行相关的改革,如制定《图书馆法》,建立职业资格准入制度,努力提高自身的职业素养,将工作重心从一般服务向咨询服务转移,在社会上营造一种重视图书馆的氛围等等。This paper elaborates the current situation of the librarians＇ lower social status and analyzes the causes and points out that to improve the librarians＇ social status some relevant reforms should be implemented focusing on providing the readers with services, such as making library law, establishing professional qualification, enhancing the librarians＇ profession accomplishment and so on. 7 refs.
