摘　　要：宋代是一个文化发达、盛行读书的时代。宋代社会精英与庶族平民包括君臣仕宦、学界大师与农工子弟,笃志进取,嗜书如命,勤学苦读,蔚然成风。这使他们当中的许多人成为中国历史上文化知识修养渊博、追求高雅而品格高尚的一代名臣贤相或学界名流,或者改变了自己的命运。近代学人所言宋代经济之繁荣,科技之发达,文史哲等领域诸多成就之登峰造极,其实都离不开这种近乎狂热的勤奋读书精神和笃志苦学的不懈努力。宋代的重学崇文之策、浓郁的读书之风以及读书人的高雅境界,为当今社会培养良好的读书风尚、纠正异化的读书目的、净化社会风气和完善读书人的自身修养提供了许多有益的启示。Song Dynasty is a highly developed cultural era popular for reading. Reading is an inexhaustible resources of spirit for Chinese nation as well as a necessary means to gain progress for individuals. Cultural elites as well as civilians, including officials, masters and the children of farmers, are eager to read. Most of them become celehritis or change their fates by reading. Nowadays people think highly of all aspects of Song Dynasty, from economy to science to culture which actually are based on their reading atmosphere at that time. The reading atmosphere and elegant state of intellectuals of Song Dynasty provide inspiration for us today which specify directions for reading and improve self-cultivation.
