摘　　要：先秦"慎言观"至孔子而大成,然追问其缘起之研究却乏善可陈。追述慎言观研究的基本脉络,匡正历来研究之不足,厘定狭义与广义的慎言观以及相关概念,并提出一套慎言观深入研究的方法,成为慎言观当前研究的必要之举。The view of Cautious Sayings was given a comprehensive description by Confucius in Pre- Qin Dynasty. But the researches on the origin of it were nothing worth mentioning. Now it is necessary to go back the history of the researches on Cautious Sayings, correct their deficiency, analyze the narrow and broad views of Cautious Sayings as well as the related concepts, and at last bring forward an in - depth way for the current study.
