摘　　要：《回声制造者》（2006）是当代美国著名小说家、后现代派小说的后起之秀理查德.鲍尔斯的第九本小说,作品问世后立即获得了当年的美国国家图书奖,赢得广泛好评。与鲍尔斯的前几部作品一样,《回声制造者》是一部内涵丰富的信息小说,更是一部名符其实的生态小说。作者在小说中利用后现代互文手法,大量引用《沙乡年鉴》、《豪旅》等生态伦理学名著,借用利奥波德等生态伦理学家的理论,通过故事的形式形象地传达自己的生态伦理意识与生态思想,在生态危机日益严峻的今天,小说显得尤其耐人寻味。Richard Powers＇ ninth novel, The Echo Maker, won the National Book Award for Fiction fight after its publication. A scientific tale of ecology, neurology, and the very nature of identity, the novel provides us with a great deal of information as Powers＇ previous novels do. Among all the important themes, ecology is the most important one. By using intertexuality and quoting such famous ecological works as A Sand County Almanac and The Immense Journey, Powers expresses his unique views on ecological ethics.
