摘　　要：从功能语法角度对"简约主义"作家雷蒙德·卡弗的短篇小说《惯用伎俩》进行及物性分析,以此探讨功能语法在分析简约小说上的适用性。Labeled as a precisemalist, Raymond Carver is the most well-known contemporary short story writer in America. His works have been widely studied, yet seldom are they studied in the framework of Systemic Functional Grammar. A transitivity analysis of Carver＇s Popular Mechanic is taken out to prove whether Systemic Functional Grammar can be appropriately applied to the analysis of mini stories.
