摘　　要：2008年新加坡政府关注民生问题，政府工作卓有成效，政治社会稳定；经济上受金融危机影响，新加坡经济从2008年第三季度开始进人衰退，2008年经济增长只有1．1％，大大低于2007年7．7％的增速；外交上积极参与东盟事务，加强与中国、日本和美国的合作和交流，并与世界各国和地区展开经济外交，拓展经济发展空间。In 2008, the government of Singapore concerned about people＇s livelihood, the Government did a good job, and the politics and society kept steady; in economy, influenced by the global financial crisis, Singapore＇s economic growth rate in 2008 was only 1.1 percent, significantly lower than the growth rate of 7.7 percent in 2007 ; in diplomacy, Singapore participated actively in the ASEAN affairs, strengthened the cooperation and exchange with China, Japan and the United States and expanded the space of economic development with all countries and areas in the world.
