摘　　要：美国华裔作家汤亭亭,以其处女作《女勇士》轰动了美国文坛,又以《中国佬》巩固了她在美国华裔文学史上的地位。旨在结合社会性别理论以及朱迪斯.巴特勒的相关理论,运用文本细读的方法,通过探讨"母亲"、"父亲"的形象塑造,得出通过运用混杂鬼故事、性别倒转和性别跨越以及矛盾、模糊的形象塑造等策略,解构了西方主流社会对于美国华裔男性和女性既定的社会性别范畴重构了华裔独特的主体性和华裔美国人的身份。The Woman Warrior,written by Maxine Hong Kingston,created a sensation in American literary world when it was published.China Men,which was published after four years,cemented her position in the field.Based on the theories of gender and Judith Butler,the paper adopts detailed textual analysis and discusses the portrayal of 'Mother' and 'Father' in the two novels,especially the strategies in characterization,such as mixture of ghost story,gender-reversing,gender-crossing,contradiction and ambiguity.It goes further to draw the natural conclusion that Maxine Hong Kingston's aim at dissolving the gender-based images which white American culture has foisted upon Chinese Americans and reconstructing the subjectivity and Chinese American identity for Chinese Americans within mainstream American society.
