摘　　要：布朗和列文森的面子观念为外企学生英语口语交际能力的提高提供了新的思路和方法。它对学生的英语口语交际能力和语用能力既有积极影响,也有消极影响。在口语交际能力训练中,可以运用赞扬策略、合作策略和创新策略来减轻消除其消极影响。Brown and Levinson’s Face-saving Theory provides new concept and strategies for improving the oral communicative ability of the college students.It affects their oral communicative ability and pragmatic competence positively as well as negatively.Approbation,cooperation and innovation strategies can be applied to reduce or remove its negative effects.
