摘 要:By exploring the ways thirty Asian EFL students at QUT learned their English grammar, this survey was an attempt to address several controversial issues regarding grammar teaching and learning. Research findings indicate that for EFL students, the grammar ability is a result of learning, rather than of acquisition, and that English grammar can be taught as an individual subject. While employing CLT approach in their EFL teaching, practitioners need a critical eye to caution against its idolization. Finally, the survey reveals that instrumental orientation provides an effective context for language success.本文以问卷调查与口头采访的方式调查了澳大利亚昆士兰科技大学30名亚裔学生英语语法学习的情况,旨在探讨英语语法教与学中的几个有争议性的问题。调查结果表明,英语语法的掌握是系统学习的结果,而非自然习得;英语语法可以设为独立的课程;在采用交际式语言教学方法的同时,要防止将其绝对化的倾向;与融入导向相比,功利导向更能促进英语学习。
