摘　　要：鲁迅和海明威虽然身处东西方不同的文化境遇,但他们都怀有一种浓重的死亡情结。两个经典的艺术形象“过客”与“老人”向生命极限做必然失败的挑战的悲剧行为,折射出创作者对生命有限性的清醒认识和勇敢承担现实与苦难的生命意志,传达人类对生与死的哲学命题的同类思考。他们的死亡哲学与尼采的酒神精神的实质颇为相似。Lu Xun and Hemingway have much in common in terms of the philosophy of death, despite their different cultural backgrounds. The two classic heroes—the passer and Santiago—respectively in their works reveal their reflections upon existential philosophy which is quite similar to the Spirit of Dionysus: they dare to confront the tribulation and undertake the responsibilities in their limited lifetime in the face of inevitable death.
