Synthesis of 2-Substituted Benzimidazol-N-biphenyl Acid and Crystal Structure of 4'-[(2-n-Propyl-1H-benzimidazol-1-yl)methyl] Biphenyl-2-carboxylate Acid

摘　　要：Nine analogues of telmisartan, 2-substituted benzimidazol-N-biphenyl acid, were designed and synthesized, from substituted benzimidazoles reacted with methyl 4'-(bromomethyl)- -biphenyl-2-carboxylate, then hydrolysis with KOH in MeOH and H2O. Their structures were confirmed by IR, 'H NMR, MS spectroscopy and elemental analysis.
