摘　　要：北京协和医学院是近代中国基督教会医学校中最负盛名的西医学校。它以美国当时最先进的约翰·霍普金斯医学院为模式 ,把培养高技师高水平的医学人才作为办学宗旨 ,形成一整套独具特色且行之有效的教学制度和方法。因此 ,它的办学效益十分显著。它的创立及其成就对中外文化的相互交流起到了促进作用 ,对于当今的高等教育改革 。Beijing Cordinate Medical College was the best known college in western medicine in modern China. Following the the example of the most advanced Johns Hopkins Medical College, it aimed at training highly skilled medical personnege, for which it developed a whole set of efficient teaching system and teaching methods with characteristics of its own. Therfore it achieved remarkable results . Its establishment and its achievements played an important role in promoting the exchange of the Chinese and foreign cultures .It also gives us some idea on how to carry out reform in high education. [
