摘 要:本研究运用词汇联想测试,调查了英语专业学生是怎样习得生词并把他们融入到心理词汇中的。结果发现:尽管三次测试中语音反应最多,但随着词汇知识的增加,被试的反应从语音向语义稳步发展;由语义倒退回语音的现象也时有发生,表明二语词汇习得不是沿着线性路径发展的,而是伴随着某种∪形或∩形的发展趋势;语音反应的大量存在表明二语心理词汇的组织首先是以语音为主;心理词汇的组织模式受到词汇频率和学习者的语言水平等因素的影响。This research investigates the developmental pattern and route of the CEL's mental lexicon through word association tests.The result reveals that as new words are learned and become more familiar,the learners' mental lexicon changes from the more phonological to the more semantic.While the subjects do make more semantic responses as time goes on,however,responses moving backward from semantic to non-semantic also occur,which indicates that second language vocabulary acquisition does not develop in a linear route but with some-shaped or I-shaped developmental trend.The findings of this longitudinal study add empirical evidence to theoretical assumptions about the organization and the developmental route of the L2 mental lexicon,further implying that vocabulary acquisition is a life-long process rather than an 'all-or-nothing affair.'
