摘  要:The models concerning metaphase chromosomes proposed so far can be divided into three categories: random fiber folding (Dupraw, Nature, 206(1966), 338--343), scaffold and loop arrangements (Paulson and Laemmli, Cell, 12(1977), 817--828) and multiple coiling (Taniguehi and Takayama, Chromosorna, 93(1986), 511--514). The high-order structure of chromosomes is still an outstanding question, and many phenomena need to be clarified.
