摘　　要：一、旅游地学的兴起旅游,是一项吸引人的活动。近年来,随着物质文明、精神文明的建设和“对外开放政策”的实施,人民生活水平不断提高,国际交往日益频繁,旅游逐渐成为人们生活中的组成部分,也越来越多地吸引了国外游人。据统计,1987年国外游客达2690万人,创汇十多亿美元。旅游业已正式纳入我国第七个五年计划,成为国民经济的重要组成部分。它呈现出空前的繁荣景象。This paper discuss systematicly the characters,duties, objects of study.work methods of tourist geology—geography and reviews of its history,the present situation as well as its further develop direction.Tourist geology—geography is a new comprehensive subject of frontier science. Its objects of study are all—round natural scenery and all of the famous places with important scientific and art significance. Its duty is to offer more quantity and good quality, perfect form and varied content resources for tourist geology—geography, and to lay a solid, dependable substance foundation in order to establish many tourist places which are rich knowledge,more interest, beautiful landscape and having transport facilities. The methods can use the reconnaissance survey,prospecting and exploit mineral resources methods. Its working procedure is divided into three stages: 1,long—term reconnaissance,2, middle-term evaluation and 3.short—term exploition.
