摘  要:作为日本华侨社会的主要教育设施,华侨学校不仅为华侨子弟的教育做出了贡献,也为整个华侨社会的统合和稳定发展以及中日文化的交流立下了汗马功劳。华侨学校具有持日本国籍的学生增多、学生总体趋向多元化,毕业生去向以升入日本学校为主流,以民族教育和升学教育为两大教学目标及注重培养学生的国际化观念等特点。但由于华侨学校长期处于边缘化的法律地位,故在学生入学、升学及学校财政等方面都受到了极大的限制。这也直接影响到了华侨学校教育活动的实施。The first overseas Chinese school of modem Japan-The Zhong-Xi School was founded in 1897, in Yokohama. It was later renamed as the Da-Tong School. A large number of overseas Chinese schools came into being in the next century. As the backbone of Chinese education in Japan's overseas Chinese society, overseas Chinese schools have contributed significantly for more than 100 years towards education of young generations in the ethnic Chinese community. In the meantime, they have facilitated the integration and stable development of the overseas Chinese society as a whole, playing a key role in the cultural exchanges between China and Japan. Currently, overseas Chinese sehools exhibit a number of characteristics. For instance, the composition of students has become diversified and more and more students have Japanese citizenship or other nationalities. In addition, majority of graduates target at the local Japanese schools and universities, which calls for a dual educational object with emphasis on both Chinese national education and local Japanese school/ university entry exams, while cultivating a global concept among students. However, as overseas Chinese schools have long been marginalized legally in local society, their development is extremely hampered,particularly in the student recruitment, university entry and financial subsidy, which directly impedes the normal educational activities of these schools.
