摘　　要：语言经济原则是指导语言使用的一条根本原则。其要义在于节约用词,力戒繁琐,青睐"快而简"的表达方式。语言经济原则在英语的语音、词汇及语法方面都有充分体现。英语学习者应当有意识地把握语言经济原则,指导实际英语学习。Language economy principle is a fundamental one to guide language use. It asks for using fewer words, avoiding complexity and favors for the quick - and - easy way of expression. Economy Principle is fully embodied in the three levels of English language, which are pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. English -learners should use Economy Principle specifically to guide actual learning.
