摘　　要：绵刺是一种古老残遗的单种属植物,被国家列为首批二级重点保护植物,具有极其重要的科学研究价值。从形态解剖、生理生化特性、生物学特性、繁殖方式以及绵刺生长的适应性和濒危原因等方面系统综述了珍稀濒危植物绵刺的研究情况,最后讨论了今后的研究方向。Potaninia mongolica was one of the ancient and surrivor species, belonging to single species potaninia genus of Rosace family. It was classified as the national secondary protection species in 1980＇ s. The research results on the geographical distribution, morphological characteristics, physiology adaptation, the endangered reasons, conservation strategy of the potaninia mongolica Maxim in China were reviewed in a systematic way. At the same time, the gists for protecting this endangered plants were provided and the further research orientation was sugguested.
