摘　　要：和互联网一样,WebGIS在公众服务领域起到越来越重要的作用,伴随着互联网的发展延伸至人们生活的方方面面。Google Earth是公众服务领域内WebGIS的代表性产品,它的出现对传统GIS、甚至测绘都产生重大冲击。以Google Earth为例,阐述WebGIS的发展、特点,对其体系结构进行分析,并就WebGIS的发展趋势进行探讨。WebGIS is playing more and more important role in society as Network. Now it has been applied in almost each field. Google Earth is a typical product of public service of WebGIS. Its appearance has great influence on traditional GIS and even on survey field. This paper shows us the features and architec- tures of WebGIS by studying Google Earth products. Finally , the future of WebGIS has been discussed.
