摘　　要：中国古代诗词英译的过程中如何实现意境的传达,这是长期以来一直困扰着译界的一个问题。通过对古汉诗的意境进行深入探讨可知:意境不可以翻译,也不可以复制,只可以传达;译者必须尽可能地忠实于原文作者并兼顾内容和形式,必要时准确运用诠释的手段才能更好地实现原文意境的传达。How to realize the transference of artistic conception in the translation of ancient Chinese poetry into English has been always a frustration to translators.This paper proposes that the artistic conception in the ancient Chinese poetry cannot be translated or duplicated after some analysis of this special quality.Instead,it can be transferred if a translator tries every effort to maintain the loyalty to the poet as well as the content and form.If necessary,the translator can apply the interpretative translation method appropriately in order that the artistic conception can be transferred to the target language readers.
