河南县市地名由来初探

摘　　要：地名的典型特征是地域性、文化性和独特性。依照地名所反映的信息,可以分为山水地名、示位地名、寄意地名、历史地名、特殊地名等。河南现有县市地名121个。这121个地名,大致有山水地名26个,方位地名13个,祈愿地名12个,历史地名50个,特殊地名20个。这一数据不仅充分说明因历史原因形成的地名是河南地名的主流,其他原因形成的地名是河南地名的补充,而且切实反映出河南地名形成和演变的悠久与复杂。The typical characteristics of place names are regional, cultural and uniqueness. In accordance with what the names reflected, they can be divided into mountain-water names, indicated- direction names, contained good wishes names, historical names, place names, and special names. There are 121 counties and cities names in Henan. Among these 121 names, there are about 26 mountain- water names, 13 indicated- direction names, and 12 contained good wishes names, 50 historical names, 20 special names. These data not only fully showed that names which formed by history is the mainstream and which formed by other reasons is the supplement of geo- graphical names in Henan, but also suggested that the formation and evolution of Henan＇s names is long and complex.
