摘　　要：哈尼夫·库雷西的短篇小说《相逢不相识》通过对族裔身份的最小化处理,使颜色成为看不见的背景。然而,在看不见颜色的世界里,使相逢成为陌生的墙却是清晰可见的。看不见的颜色使族裔身份变得隐秘,而看得见的墙则使相逢不相识的窘境更加凸显。库雷西以陌生人的心态,书写了追寻"没有墙的家园"的旅程中的困惑与期盼。Through the minimization of the Diasporas,Hanif Kureishi's short story'Strangers When We Meet'has made the color bar invisible.However,in the colorless world,the wall,which has estranged the meeting lovers,remains visible.The invisible color backgrounds the ethnic identity while the visible wall foregrounds the predicaments of the meeting of strangers.From a stranger's point of view,Hanif Kureishi elicits the dilemmas and aspirations in the quest for'homes without walls'.
