摘　　要：《我的光辉生涯》是杰出的澳大利亚女作家迈尔斯.弗兰克林的最重要作品,是一部典型的教育小说。本文从女主人公西比拉生活的五个阶段入手,探析情感和生活经历怎样影响她从童年到成年的成长和发展。小说通过对女主人公独立人格的塑造,在真实反映澳大利亚19世纪末期社会风貌的同时,也表达了作者对当时澳大利亚社会等级和两性等级的不认同,倡导女性心理发展应该同男性一样受到关注和重视。My Brilliant Career is the most important work written by Miles Franklin, an outstanding Australian woman writer. It is also a typical Bildungsroman. This paper explores the influences of Sybylla＇ s emotion and her life experiences on her growth and development from childhood to adulthood by analyzing five periods of her life. Through portraying the independent personality of the heroine, the novel represents the true social condition of the late 19th century of Australia. It also expresses the author＇ s disagreement with the social class and gender hierarchy in Australia at that time, advocating that women＇ s mental development merits as much attention as that of men.
