大学低年级开设ESP课程的可行性研究

摘　　要：专门用途英语(ESP,English for Specific Purposes)教学是英语教学的发展方向。ESP可以再细分为普通用途的ESP和专业用途的ESP。大学低年级学生已经具备了学习ESP的EGP(English for General Purposes)基础知识,普通英语教师接受专业基本知识培训后可以胜任ESP课程教学。大学低年级宜开设普通用途的ESP课程。在ESP课程教学中,ESP教师需要选择或自编适合学生和教师自身专业知识水平的教材用于教学;为了强化ESP教学,需要积极开展校企合作。ESP teaching is the trend of English teaching. ESP can be further divided into Common-use ESP and Specialty-use ESP. EGP knowledge in students from lower grades enables them to learn ESP. EGP teachers can be qualified to teach ESP after being trained and obtaining the basic specialized knowledge. What can be implemented in the lower grades in college is the Common-use ESP course. In the teaching process, ESP teachers should select the teaching materials that are fit to the levels of specialized knowledge of both students and teachers. To optimize the ESP teaching, cooperation between colleges and corporations is necessary.
