摘  要:Background and Objective The disease incidence and mortality of lung cancer has been increased dramatically for recent 50 years in many countries in the world. In2002, the new casesBackground and Objective The disease incidence and mortality of lung cancer has been increased dramatically for recent 50 years in many countries in the world. In2002, the new cases of lung cancer are about 1,350,000 and the number of people dead from lung cancer is 1,180,000, which ranks numberl among the malignant tumors. According to the investigation of the death cause of inhabitants in our country, lung cancer has been increased almost 1.5 times from 1970' to 1990', which has the fastest increasing rate among the malignant tumors. Therefore, searching for new anti-lung-cancer drugs, especially the one with high anti-cancer efficiency and low toxicity attracts increasingly more researchers. Selenium, as an essential element, plays an important role in physiological function as well as cancer prevention and therapy. Methylseleninic acid (MSA) is a kind of artificially developed selenium compound, which appears to be the best candidate for cancer prevention and/or therapy reserch,
