摘　　要：寄宿学院是美国高等教育的一个重要传统。其始终以本科教育为核心,与研究型大学、社区学院共同支撑着19世纪以来美国高等教育的发展。通过对美国寄宿学院的发展概况、特点及相关案例的分析,可以从管理实践和理论层面探讨美国寄宿学院传统对中国本科教育的启示。Residential college is an important tradition of American higher education. It always concentrates upon undergraduate education. As an important part, residential colleges with research universities and community colleges have been promoting the development of American higher education since the 19th century. The article introduces the development and the characteristic of the traditional in residential college of American. By comparative study and analysis of case, the author discusses the inspiration of American residential college to our undergraduate education reform from the practice of management and the stage of theory comparatively. And at the same time, it always puts forward the suggestion for us to study the experience of foreign education.
