摘　　要：在中国，是谁让网络巨人思科寝食难安？是2003年11月才成立的杭州华三通信技术有限公司（以下简称H3C）。在不到6年的时间里，H3C的营业额从6亿元（2003年）增长到了近100亿元（2008年），并且成为国内市场上以太网交换机、企业级路由器、IP存储领域排名第一的企业。In China,which company can make the Internet giant Cisco Systems Inc.(Cisco)sleepless?It's the Hangzhou-based H3C Technologies Co.,Limited( H3C),a leading supplier of IP-based products and solutions.In less than six years,H3C'srevenues grew from RMB600million(US$87 million)in2003 to almost RMB10 billion( US$1.46 billion)in 2008,becoming the leader in fields like Ethernet switch,enterprise router and IP storage in China.It was first co-launched by China's Huawei Technologies Co.,Ltd.and the US network equipment provider 3Com in 2003 to beat Cisco.In the following years,H3C successfully surpassed Cisco to be the No.1 in the enterprise network product sector.Although having experienced ups and downs on the capital market and internal reforms,H3C's team was able to remain unchanged,a key for H3C to overcome all the obstacles and seize the chances,as well as the secret to grow rapidly in the five years.Following the trend of enterprise IP applications,it switched its role from a single equipment maker to an IP-based product and solution provider.Viewing the rising star as a big threat,Cisco and other players are taking actions in a bid to recapture their shares on the market.It remains to be seen whether H3C can address the sever challenge and reach the goal of becoming the largest IP solutions provider in the world.
