堕胎还是坠胎——兼谈“堕”和“坠”的用法

摘　　要：古书中"堕"和"坠"当"落、落下"讲是同义词,二者都有使动用法,但"堕"的使动用法比"坠"普遍,这对"堕胎"与"坠胎"的出现以及二者使用上的普遍与否产生了深远的影响。"堕胎"开始出现于魏晋文献,"坠胎"较为可靠的起源当在明朝,且使用的频率远不及"堕胎"普遍。《现代汉语词典》不收"坠胎",当是出于规范化的要求。今天,尤其是网络上普遍使用"坠胎",从历史渊源上看并没有错,然而从规范化的角度看,这是不合规范的。我们应该自觉地为祖国语言文字的纯洁与健康而奋斗。In the ancient books ＂Duo＂ or ＂Zhui＂ both meant tall or drop,they were synonym, mey also nan a special usage that make the object to fall or drop,and this usage of ＂Duo＂ was more popular than ＂Zhui＂. This had a profound impact on the emergence and the use of ＂Duotai＂ or ＂Zhuitai＂. ＂Duotai＂ began in the ancient books in Wei-Jin times. ＂Zhuitai＂ more reliably originated from the Ming Dynasty. The frequency of the use of ＂Duotai＂ was far more popular than ＂Zhuitai＂. ＂The Modem Chinese Dictionary＂ has no＂ Zhuitai＂ as the requirements of the standardization. Today,＂ Zhuitai＂ is cormnonly used on the network. This is not wrong from a historical perspective, but this is not the norm from the perspective of standardization. We should consciously work hard for the purity and health of the language of our motherland.
